Join us for an evening with Francisco Garcia and Chris McQueer where they'll discussing Francisco's new book If You Were There: Missing People and the Marks They Leave Behind. Described by Andrew O'Hagan as 'One of the non-fiction books of the year.' A powerful, evocative and deeply personal journey into the world of missing people. 

  
Francisco Garcia is a writer and journalist, who has written long form features, reports and essays for The Guardian, Financial Times, VICE, New Statesman, Prospect, Time Out, i-D, Dazed, The Independent and many others. His first book, If You Were: Missing People and the Marks They Leave Behind, was published by HarperCollins in May 2021. He is currently working on a second non fiction title for the same publishers, among other projects.
Chris McQueer is a writer from Glasgow. He has written two collections of short stories, Hings & HWFG, the first of which was adapted into a BBC Scotland series and won the Herald Arts & Culture Award for outstanding literature in 2019. He is currently working on his first novel.
