Extra Teeth Issue 10 Launch Party | 29th Nov @ 7pm

Join us for the extremely exciting Glasgow Launch of Extra Teeth Issue 10. Based between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Extra Teeth showcases the best of new writing from Scotland and beyond. We'll have readings from Elle Nash, Sumayya Usmani and Donal McLaughlin

Elle Nash is a British-American author and editor known for her fearless exploration of desire, identity, and the human condition. Her most recent novel, Deliver Me, is a "darkly vivid examination of faith, obsession, and alienation" and was nominated for Fiction Book of the Year by the Saltire Society.

Sumayya Usmani is an award-winning Pakistani-born author based in Glasgow. A Scottish Book Trust Next Chapter Awardee (2021), she has written two cookbooks and one memoir. Having completed her MLitt in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow in 2024, she began her DFA Creative Writing in October 2024. Sumayya provides freelance editing services, mentors writers, and runs Qissa, an online writer's membership community. Her literary work explores themes of culinary displacement, nostalgia, and how colonisation and the Partition of India contributed to the erasure of belonging and cultural identity.

Donal McLaughlin is known for two short story collections: an allergic reaction to national anthems (Argyll) and beheading the virgin mary (Dalkey Archive). A founding member of the Scottish Writers' Centre, he is also an award-winning translator. His fiction has appeared, among other places, in Fictionable, Southword, The Honest Ulsterman, New Writing Scotland, Gutter, The Hudson Review and Best European Fiction.
