Audiobook in a Card is a simple, but pioneering scheme in which audiobooks are made available in the form of ‘physical’ cards for sale in bookshops across Britain.
Each card contains a QR card and a unique code, activated at the point of sale in the bookshop.
Audiobook in a Card puts the book back into audiobooks and audiobooks back in the bookshop. In this real world, “brick and mortar” environment audiobooks can be discovered by booklovers as recommended by booksellers, circumnavigating the bestseller bias of the online marketplace algorithm.
